What is the fascination about cinematic games?

no but seriously.

But I am not sure if Assassins Creed really counts as a cinematic game.  Sure its more cinematic than say NSMB which has probably 1 cutscene   but Cinematic for me is stuff like  BeyondTwoSouls.
