im a smart consumer 99% of the time, that one percent is for making the HUGE mistake of buying BF4.... aside from that i only buy games on launch that i am 100% sure that are gonna be great, and i normally buy a pack of games some months after they release and grab them for arround 30 bucks each, that way i get to buy more games and support more companies, that i would be able to support by paying 60 for each.
