WiiU download size problem. Arbitrary filesize?

It is excellent and I agree, but what happens to this dlc when I someday want to play yhe game on Wii U 2? What if one does not have the dlc? Does it vanish from existence?

 

All new MK8 disc sgould have this dlc attached!

Well, I'm hoping that we have a similar transfer system for whatever Nintendo's next console is as we did for Wii to WiiU; except with the ability to transfer DLC as well. Hopefully they don't "shit the bed" on hdd size for next gen.
