| Intrinsic said: honestly, my problem now are with the people that actually went out to buy this game. Gamers really need to learn that as long as they are willing to pay for something, they are indirectly telling publishers that they are ok with whatever they did. I mean if just once, gamers could come together on hold out on buying a game for the first two weeks just to make a point, everyone would be surprised how this industry would change. |
I wouldn't worry too much about that.
After all, many of those day 1 buyers won't (probably) make the same mistake twice, so the 2015 AC title will (again, probably) have less sales than expected even if it's a good game.
By doing this things Ubisoft is simply killing it's franchises, and they don't have that many left: Rayman doesn't sell enough, Watch Dogs sold good, but will many of its buyers return?, Far Cry depends on its 4th installment and AC... let's just say that it will have troubles next year. What's left for them? And no, Beyond Good & Evil doesn't count. The first game didn't sold enough, why would a sequel do?
Please excuse my bad English.
