If you intend to upgrade the GPU, upgrade it to something actually worthwhile. Conversely, if you were to stick with an AMD GPU, you will be able to take advantage of Mantle-enabled games, which (Like Beyond Earth) can drastically change the experience. And even though AMD's high-end GPU's almost need a Nuclear Reactor and creates heat-waves to function, they're cheap, powerful, again, what you SHOULD be focused on when doing a budget build. |
Yeah ive seen 280x aka 7970 ghz for ass low as $219...thats just absurd pricing. 290 for 299 is also tempting but thst gpu needs some hardcore cooling and a thermonuclear power supply. Doubt someone running a rig like this one could run it without upgrades.
