Can't blame them for making things more newcomer friendly. Back in the day my brother, mother (as she was the only one capable of reading English) and I got plenty of aid from the Zelda guide as we got stuck quite often, even after completing Ocarina of Time.
You can't expect three people to gather around one handheld system, nor can you expect them to buy content written on paper these days. So this update makes a lot of sense.
