There is absolutely no reason for this type of recomendation when considering his request. Intel CPU is absolutely not a requirement for a low end gaming rig. 

Something like an Athlon X4 860K and a cheap FM2+ mobo will not bottleneck him at all.

Only Intel processor that makes sense for his setup is the G3258 and that processor trades blows and performance with the 860K.

Even with lower card graphic, if you have a good CPU (heck even and i3 dual core is better if you are not considering ps2 emulator)  you can still play games more better. I am not saying Intel is better in all aplication benchmark, but Intel is more reliable for games most of the times even dual core on i3 is better then any quad core AMD card. more over it's just my preference.
