Actually, RAM is not much of a bottleneck with the actual cards. Some board partners have launched 8GB versions of the 290X and at least the Sapphire one doesn't perform so much better than a 4GB regular one.

(note that both are clocked at the same speeds)

But I was thinking more about the games asking for more than 4GB of VRAM to use the highest settings.

Nice info right there, thank you.

I suppose then, that cards are just not completely optimized yet for 4k and above resolutions.Ive got another setup for fps and racing games,x2 r295x running at 5760x2160,the only bottleneck I found was from the cpu,but got a better one and that fixed it,maybe my 4k rig has the same problem.

You game on a 6 screen (3x2) Eyefinity setup? That sounds both amazing and bezel nightmarish to me .

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070
