This is why I believe that sony/ms/nintendo will go around 4k in a very different way. They would find a way to cheat. Have devs render their games at 1080p native but output at 4k

Which basically means more gens of upscaling, and misleading console reveal E3's that lie and tell us the system is capable of running games in that resolution (which fighting games MAY be able to achieve).
