I'd have more faith in this prediction if Nintendo didn't say at E3 that they specifically avoided making an amiibo centric game so they can focus on cross-game functionality.

amiibo needs to have a focused game that uses recorded data from other titles to create a unique character based off its user's accomplishments. It's the perfect way to show off the usefulness and superiority of the amiibo. Anything less will be screwed by the rock and hard place dilemma. Do they piss everyone off by making amiibos tied to exclusive content that's worth buying them for, like the Spinner, or do they add subpar functions to each game and make it so nobody wants to buy them, like every non-Link amiibo in Hyrule Warriors?
