Anybody have a similar issue with their PS4?

Make some tests... btw without this feature you will need to power on/off your TV manually and switch sources too... PS4 won't do that automatically.

What do you mean by switch sources?

Input sources.

Most TVs have Cable input, A/V input, Video Conponent input, and one or more HDMI input.

When you change the display from Cable TV to HDMI PS4 you are switching sources.

It is supposed to have a Source button in your remote control.

Oh right. I have to do all that manually already anyways.
