I found fast food nation really boring. They made us read it and write 3 essays on it in college. I just bullshitted the essays I couldn't work my way through the book. I'm a vegetarian, I take the vegetarianism(and the overall balance of my diet) seriously so I pretty much already knew all of the stuff in fast food nation. So maybe that stuff might have shocked some, but I found nothing surprising in that book.
The only fast food I ever really eat(and its still rare) is Taco bell. Theres beans and bean burritos available to me.
If I end up having to choose from eating at some random fast food place or not eating at all I'll order something from other places menus. Burger king is a lifesaver there, they actually have a veggie burger.
