Since these points are generating some buzz and a lot of people don't have a PS4 to test, here are my 2 cents:
- It's like he said. Most installs take 1 min (of course, the game keep installing at BG, but you are playing while it does it) and you can usually start playing a game with around 20% of the download. I was playing The Crew Beta yesterday after 3GB downloaded of a total 14GB.
- I didn't noted it, but the only giant patch I got was one of the first on Shadow Fall. I'm happy with how he handles patching.
- Yes, it's pretty much instantaneous. The only time he gets a little slow is if the game is doing some heavy operation (normally network related) and you switch too many times between OS and game in a short amount of time.
- Like he said.
- I didn't tried it outside of my house, but that's because my upload speed sucks. It works inside my house, but I had some issues earlier when trying to use it via wireless (instead of the direct connection) with my 2 routers at home, but I fixed it after some fiddling with NAT options. There's a bit of input lag, but I don't see problems for SP games, maybe MP in 60 fps games. It's interesting to note too that the streaming is at 30fps.
- Didn't tried it yet.
- I liked the app, it's good to refine the gameplay videos.
- I only saw it yesterday, but I liked the new Live From PS app.
- I saw the UI enhancements. My fav is the new section in Friends that shows who is in an active MP session in each game and gives you a button to quick enter on the match. Good to follow my KZ clan.
- Well, I didn't noted a lot of change, it was always fast.
- Thanks god. I love finally being able to upload my gameplays directly to it.
- Didn't tried it. I usually prefer the game's soundtrack. Someone worked hard to have musics that fit the original concept, I wouldn't want to change the experience with my own musics.
- Didn't tried it. Let's test when you are online! Of course, I can't share the game myself because my upload sucks, but I would love to try playng remotely.
- I liked. The only downside is that sometimes the console lags a bit after exiting a game if you are on a custom theme.
- No Xperia Z3 here and I'll probably get a Nexus next time anyway, so... Of course, I do it on Vita so it isn't that much of a deal for me.
- I didn't noted on party, but there were some good new stuff on Message.
What I want now from Sony is adding the possibility to use the Vita as a real joystick. I only have a DS4 so when I play on local MP, I usually connect the Vita with Remote Play and use the DS4 as player 2. It works great, but:
- The Vita must be player 1.
- The Vitas's screen stays on, since you are actually "Remote Playing".
I would like to have a third option on the Vita's Remote Play app: use as joystick. Being able to connect as any player and with the screen off, so I would get more than the normal 5 hours of battery the Vita normally has.
