Mostly i tried it because i was sick of the lack of face-time. Minimal chances to talk to her (and that's completely ignoring the question of it being "the right time" to talk to her, just me seeing her period) got to me. I didn't want to blow it completely, of course, but i did want to prod some movement.
So i kind of knew it wasn't the best idea, but i've been growing impatient, and tried to play it carefully (not just come out swinging with an ask, but embed it as part of at least a small conversation).
