We haven't seen what will happen with a console Monster Hunter game since the success of the PSP. It is possible that the series is only popular on hand-helds, or it is possible the games are just that much better. Either way with its increased popularity, and based on old console sales the game will be as big as MGS4 in Japan. It is very reasonable to expect the game to sell 800k lifetime all things considered even if you assume most of the success will be limited to handhelds.
