First off, I hate when people say "I haven't seen any ads on TV". If you can accurately say whether or not there are ads on TV, then you're watching too damn much TV. There are like 200 channels. You watch at most two channels (pip) for (I would hope) less than 8 hours a day. So, your sample size is really small.
Secondly, advertising costs money, and that money needs to be well spent. Bayonetta is a hardcore game, so throwing ads on the Big Bang Theory may not offer the most bang for the buck. Targeting adult swim is a better use of funds, as is targeted internet ads.
Now Amiibo on the other hand, should be pimped out everywhere.
