- Nintendo can better advertise their non-Mario and Zelda franchises. The myth that Nintendo doesn't use more then a handful of IPs, could be wiped out within a short period of time if Nintendo let people know about half of the new games they have made and just let fly out to market including the eShop exclusives.

- Improved online functionality, with the eventual adoption of a way to have games attached to Nintendo IDs.

- Stop with the bad to lazy names for new hardware, they lucked up with the DS and Wii, but Wii U, New 3DS and a case can be made for the 2DS are just... negatives that don't even consider uninitiated consumers or retailers.

- Win over the remaining console 3rd party developers in Japan. 3rd party support is critical and getting a steady flow of titles from various genres, including those that Nintendo doesn't support or try to support as often. I'm looking at you fighting games, visual novels/adventures and sports.
