I think it's the fault in 2.01 update.
Since then, I turn on my PS4 using a controller, but then it freezes (or loses connection to the controller), I must then press the button on the console to put it into rest mode, connect my controller via USB cable, and wake it up.
It then works and I can disconnect the controller.
So now I just save the hassle and plug in my controller before booting, that way I have no problems.
As I said before (more as a joke then), they fix one thing but break two more in the process...
