Can someone remind me how many HD remakes Nintendo has made, because I have this strange feeling that it's, like, one or something.

Bayonetta does not meet the condition of having been "once popular on (Nintendo's) systems."

1 for the Wii U in two years (Zelda: WW), 2 for the 3DS to date (Oot 3D, Star Fox 64 though Pokemon Remakes + MM + Xenoblade are coming). Nintendo handhelds have had "remakes" since forever though (Super Mario Bros. 1-3, World, and Yoshi's Island, Zelda III, and several others were remade for the GBA).  

Not exactly a "ton". 

Master Chief Collection alone is 4 games "remade", lol. 

The article specified HD remakes. 3DS has no such thing.
