It was also heavily PS marketed, so those with PS4 and XB1 skus it further. As well as it being new IP vs Halo.
If you're talking about it being free, well XB1 is $349 (with a game) + Halo MCC = $410. That's only $10 more expensive than $399 and any free game.
And it's coming out during the holiday.
