New Vegas and 3 have their ups and downs in different places. As an open world game, New Vegas is far weaker; it basically feels like a more or less corridor RPG or more like Dragon Age Origins with the walls removed; lots of empty space. Fallout 3 had the better world in that sense for sure. New Vegas had pretty good writing, better in many ways than Fallout 3. A collaboration would be perfect, since then the strengths of 3 and the strengths of New Vegas could be brought together.
