My favourite character is Master Chief by far.
But I still have to say UC 3 was the best #3 in my opinion. Halo 3 was quite a letdown for me (even though I think it's great, it didn't reached the aura Halo 2 has, in my opinion), and I never really enjoyed the MGS (but they're great, I can't deny it).
About Uncharted 3, it was a blast, from start to finish.
So yeah, best #3: Uncharted 3
Best character: Master Chief
