A friend without the game? No idea personally, I'm out of the loop and trying to figure it out now.

The Far Cry 4 "Invite a Friend" thing is like the Nintendo DS Download Play; A friend invites you, you then download a portion of the game, and can play with them even if you don't own it.

From what I understand, Far Cry 4 will require you to download part of the game, and it will run on your console. It's not like Share Play, which simply streams the game footage to the console.
