This has been a long stanbding offer, so this isn;t really much of a factor. People could have got a Xb one for $300 this way for the last several months, but it didn't stop PS4 from winning every single month up to now, including October (I have no doubt).
We are less than a week into a $50 price cut (Xb one's first genuine price cut) and a number of very attractive bundles. Why is anyone surprised, or much less worried, by what's happening?
There is no point in Sony reacting until they see what the longer term effect of the price cut is. And Sony only has so much adveertising money, so they need to time their advertising of bundles so that they have peak awareness when the bundles actually come out. Another week or so I think.
