As I said in another thread, we're going to have to wait til Black Friday weekend numbers come in. This will help in 3 ways. 1) We'll see if this jump in sales is actually spurring many new sales/customers, or if it's just mostly people who would have gotten it BF, maybe Dec, who are getting it early because of the sale. 2) We'll see if BF PS4 sales will be able to make up for any gains the XBO has made in the beginning of Nov. 3) And probably more importantly, we'll actually see how Sony is going to react to this.

I mean, we're only 2 full days into Nov and yet some people are already calling Nov for MS? Really? What happens if Sony meets the XBO's $349 price? Or if Sony announces some great bundles for $399?

i agree with everything you say I just dont see SOny doing any of that. It looks like they've gone profit over sales but if they don't do a far cry and gta bundle they will lose a lot of profit.

Well, I think it's pretty clear that stores will be doing a $349 PS4 SKU for BF weekend.  We'll have to wait and see if Sony does it for the rest of the holidays, though.  My guess is they will most likely just come out with some really good bundles, most likely at a $399 price.  I fully expect the GTA5 PS4 bundle to be announced for the US in a week or two, as well as a LBP3 bundle.

Of course, if I was Sony, I would drop the price permanently and seal the sales race in the US this holiday.  I wouldn't go a full $50, but a cut to $369-375 should definitely be enough to cut into the sales the XBO is seeing, now.
