  1. These are the exactkinda semantics that PC gamers bring into every argument. The cost of games is irrelevant.

There is no point of this thread going any further. You simply don't understand the cost of gaming as a hobby or choose to be ignorant about it. I'll just continue buying AAA PC games at $5-10 and using that money to buy awesome PC hardware to enjoy superior performance, graphics and controls, while you continue defending console gaming. In the end, I've done the calculations too many times to know that PC gaming is cheaper the more games you purchase. If all you do is buy COD and Madden, then sure console gaming may be cheaper. But I'd consider that person to be a casual gamer. Some PC gamers have 300-600 games on Steam but according to you the cost of games is irrelevant as if they magically fall out of the sky.

My position doesn't even take into account that AMD graphics made $$$ by mining bitcoins since Radeon HD4870 days in 2008. I just transferred > $8000 CDN that my Radeon cards made me when not gaming --> I basically mined coins and exchanged them to CDN currency and then wired it to my bank account. So besides cheaper console games, my AMD videocards made me $20,000 in bitcoin mining since I started 6 years ago. But I guess you had no clue this was possible with PC graphics cards either. I guess it's better to be ignorant about the capabilities that PC has to offer outside of games since you aren't open minded about the entire concept of PC gaming.

have fun playing 4k/120fps flappy bird type games in the future because that's exactly where this attitude is leading towards.
