Believe it or not but PC's have a greater failure rate and are more expensive to replace than consoles. The Rrod being an anomaly of course.

Games are more likely to crash on PCs as well.

So the point here is it makes more sense to play games you otherwise can't play on consoles like strategy games and MOBAS.

For all other games, including console exclusives and FPS, stick to consoles for a more user friendly and inexpensive option.

No way. Console gaming is very expensive.

This is just a snapshot.  The cost of buying PC games is so much cheaper than console games that over 100 games purchased, you save thousands of dollars. The less games that are purchased on console and the more on the PC, the better off a gamer is in terms of costs. The most cost effective way to be a gamer is to buy all cross-platforms games on the PC. Consoles gaming = sports, exclusives and some must have multi-player with friends. That's it.

For every $20-30 console game you buy, I can buy 3-4 AAA games on the PC. Next week NV will bundle AC Unity with their graphics cards which means Steam coupons will be going for $25-30 on EBay while in Canada AC Unity will cost me $79 CDN at Futureshop.

The games are universally cheaper yes but I was talking about the whole experience. When you factor in the cost of hardware and games, pc gaming is a lot mor expensive. Plus, if you sell or trade your games like I do, you can save big bucks. You can't trade in pc games.
