As a super enthusiast pc gamer, I disagree with some points, but as a multi-platform gamer I agree with all your pro-console points.
1.Yes the more you pay for hardware the more you get on a pc.I play at 4k on a $2500 build(just pc no display) and at 5760x2160 on a $5000 build (monitors included.)The experience obviosly is much more from what you get from consoles, but also costs many times more.I also find it really stupid when someone says you can build $400 pc with PS4 performance, the PS4 is much better and much more future proof than a $400 pc period
2.As you remarked a PS4 won't ever compare to a $2500 pc in performance,none the less it provides the best experience there is on consoles, AC 4 looked so good on it that I ended up playing it there.
3.I think this is the most important point.I know that I didn't just wake up one day and decided to build a pc ,nor did I wake up with the knowledge to build one.It took months of research, even 3 years after I built my first gaming pc I'm still learning.If you are not much into tech "get a current gen console" they provide an amazing gaming experience and they makes it so damn easy.
Now about convenience and ease of use,My pc's take around 15 secs tops to boot up, my 4k build is hooked to my tv actually, I even use the DS4 to play on it so for me its the same, except the graphics and sometimes driver settings and issues that you have to tweak.For me its a gratifying and enjoyable experience dealing with all that though, but obviously not everyone is gonna like that,it's actually one of the major drawbacks that people mention when talking about building a pc.
Ultimately, people should just buy whatever they prefer and in their price range, and not listen to anyone trying to justify their purchase.
