@skip I agree that streaming services have their share of problems. I've read that many of these "HD" video downloads don't even qualify as true HD, the HD movies on XBLM barely qualifying as an HD format. On Topic: Digital distribution simply cannot replace physical media in its current condition, however, it could easily replace rentals. Also, are you getting the best experience in video and sound through digital downloads? What of special features like behind the scenes, commentary, etc.? Personally, I could care less seeing as I haven't bought a movie in years. However, I just wanted to make a point of what is really sacrificed through digital distribution. As a PS3 owner, I like having the blu-ray format. Yes, the slow drive speed possesses its share of problems, but the space available gives room for potential (not that the space is used effectively).
