I agree that last gen the difference was more significant. Technically the discrepancy between PS4 and X1 is higher than the one between PS3 and 360, but 720p to sub-HD difference and usually running between 20 to 30FPS along with screen tearing shows a lot more than 1080p to 900p or variable 40~60FPS to stable 30FPS/30FPS with minor drops at the same resolution, which is what is happening this gen.
