Hardware wise, there is a bigger difference between the X1 and PS4, than PS3 and X360. However, it only shows in the output resolution of mutli platform games. it does take a decent amount of power to render twice the pixels onto the screen, But if you compare the final images of the PS4 and the X1, there isn't that "huge" of a difference visually, to be honest, almost none at all. sure pixel nazi's argue otherwise, but the truth stands, that it is a small Visual difference.
