even though there was a thread just like this a few days ago, i'll copy and past my post


While I really liked Vice City and GTA3 a lot (never got into San Andreas, don't know why,) I'm going to have to go with GTA2 (for PC). I loved how the game was actually non-linear, in that you could choose which gangs you wanted to work for, and have evolving, changing relationships with gangs. All of your choices would have an effect on the each of the gang's opinion of you. "Respect is Everything" was the slogan. In the newer ones, it's a scripted series of missions that forces you to work for certain gangs, and I preferred the old approach.
