So which gap will be larger? The one between the Wii U and PS4 or the 3DS and Vita. Here are my honest predictions

PS4-90M

Wii U-40M

gap: 50M

3DS-85M

Vita-15M

gap:70M

so yes, I believe at the end of the 8th generation the 3DS and the Vita will have a much larger gap than the PS4 and Wii U. Here are a few reasons.

A. Console market shrinking

Ok I know that the handheld market is shriniking too (probably faster) but I think if new3DS really does well and Nintendo supports the 2 long enough we'll see 3DS reach 85M lifetime. PSVita will be lucky to reach 15M since Sony has already pretty much ditched the poor handheld. I know the PS4 and selling circles around everything, but with the Wii U having a tons of games coming out next year and some killer titles this year (Mario Kart already, Smash soon) the momentum should be enough to get at the least 30M, but I think it will get to 40M due to the fact it's a great secondary console. The PS4 will sell well, but probably will die down like the Wii, possibly sooner though. So I easily see it reaching 80M, but I predict 90M lifetime. (if Sony is even around that long)

B. Nintendo handhelds have legs

Yeah, I think the 3DS will never sell like it's older brother, but probably will support decent sales until at least 2018. Also due to the fact it released 2011, it's already built up a lot of recognition and I'm pretty sure mostly everyone respects it. (or at least knows it's not a DS). Wii U will eventually catch on and people will realize it's something else than a Wii, which should help improve sales drastically, as that still effects the struggling system today. PS4 has already caught the hype of the world and will end up well but I guarantee like the Wii, after 2 years the product will slowly sink in sales. I have no comments for Vita here

So what do you think will have a bigger gap? Tell me below
