Are you serious? This was the same if your friend was next to tou with your controller in your hand. Starting a new game, he can simply overwrite your saved data. 

But it isn't. This is online and can easily be prevented. It shows a lack of forethought by Sony.

You are so wrong about this that it hurts.  Different games have various differnt ways of saving games.  From autosaves to save points to screen prompts.  Share play allows the person to play as you.  It is your responsibilty to make sure they don't overwrite or delete your saves via game menus.  Every game is different.  They are not babysitting your entire experience.
