In Brazil Sony products (TV and home theathers) are still the best brand to go in general. If you want a lot cheaper you go LG, a little cheaper and in the same block Samsung. But we don't often see anything better than Onkyo - for more than 50% extra cost in same range of products - in most stores (unless you go downtown for specific stores) so I will keep narrowmindily buying Sony products the same as you do with MS products.
