Its unfortunate that the keep bleeding money. But I think they need to buckle down even more and just cut off anything that is bleeding money for them. And even though they make really good phones, the unfortunate thing is that they don't seem to be ready to take that as seriously as they should. They weren't even making deals with carriers up until the Z3. Meaning that before now if you wanted an Xperia phone you had to pay full price all at at once.
