Why does PS3 suck in Japan?

Yeah, I remember the days where every news article about Japan sales had "PS3 was outsold _:1 by the Wii." I didn't remember exact sales, but yeah, the PS3 definitely sucked it up pretty bad over there last year, and it isn't doing very well right now. Bring on the FF!!
