Having only used the PS4 for 15-20 hours, but not owning one, I can say that it seems to be normal. By that I mean it didn't seem fast or slow. As for the new features, they sound good if you have interest in them. But, like ANY feature, it only matters to those that use it. I myself would Never use a cellphone or handheld to play my console games. I have big hands and can't stand either for that purpose. But, I could see my kids loving it. At some point, I will get a PS4 and will probably laugh at these debates over how many seconds between a click and activation.
