Store clerks can be morons even the ones who apparently are hardcore gamers.
One time I wanted to buy the analog stick add-on for the 3DS (more as a collectors item than anything else) but the clerk at Gamestop basically tried to wrestle it away from me and tried to claim it would invalidate my 3DS warranty even though it's an official Nintendo made product.
