The measure.

The ipod had 75% marketshare that eventually rose to over 90%.

This isny remotely similar.  The ipod didnt just have the cool factor, it had almost 100% mindshare.

This isnt remotely the case with the PS4 and ONE despite how much some of you might think it is.

I figured that would be your reason. Though the scale is different the situation is largely the same.

Also, by the end of the gen the PS4 might have something like 60-70% market share if your just talking about PS4+XBO

and it would still be wrong.  because if you just take ipod and zune the ipod had 90%+ market share.

sigh...the marketshare gap isn't what makes this situation similar to the Zune/Ipod one. The PS4 has for all intents and purposes become the 8th gen console, much like how the Ipod defined it's market which made it nearly impossible for any competitor to make any real headway.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.
