There are a lot of noteworthy franchises. For me, Halo was important because it sort of revolutionised the console FPS. Halo CEA and it's Xbox One MCC counterpart still look and play amazing. the Halo games just don't get dated and each dares to bring something special to the franchise (Even Halo 3: ODST, which I like).
