If they didnt do it Sega would have, if not them then some one else at a later date.  If Apple didnt pull of the smart phone someone lese would have.

We both know that GAMES sell consoles, and did Sega have the games neccessery to sell their system? Not until Sonic, and he was designed to compete directly with Mario. Apple would never have ventured into console bussines unless it was lucrative, and who made it a lucrative busniess again? Nintendo.

And consider this; would anyone really have tried to revive the console market if the PC gaming scene had grown big enough? No, they would have made PC games insetad. Sony would never have made a console, Microsoft would never have made a console

Yahh they did, sega had the games to pretand other wise just shows you are desperate to argue pro nintendo no matter what.  Ill explain sine you dont understand hwo things work.  Sega had to directly compete with Nintindo so they made Sonic, same way MS made Forza due to GT and now moneyhated Lara casue they are desperate for something to stand vs Uncharted.  Same way sony went balls out on shooters last gen even though they arent very good at them, they need to compete.
