thats unlikely in the mid and longterm of a console gen lifecycle. ALL last gen 7 announcements were shipped numbers ;)

I think Sony will keep announcing sell through because they'll want to show off their huge lead

but it becomes hard to track and estimate without false data, the longer the gen last.
the last time was easy, because all stock was sold trhough nearly immediately. (at least until the 7m number in april)

 

i was suprised by the 10m (sold through) statement. but maybe they though after a 7m sold through, a 11m sold in number would be a bad announcement
maybe one more number. 15 or 20m milestone. but after that, ill suspect shipped again. 50 would be the next goal
