While driveclub has me completely hooked and is an awesome very refined racer, it's not really doing anything new gameplay wise. For that my most impressive next gen games are Fract OSC and Transistor. Fract OSC brought that sense of adventure and exploration back in a mysterious 3D vertical environment and combined it with building a synthesizer that let's you make some cool tunes. Transistor's clever way of combining novel weapons kept me interested long enough to go for the platinum trophy.
