Ubisoft has gotten too stupid lately. They keep saying the same thing.

I think what happens is people keep asking about resolution, Ubisoft keeps giving their usual response, and the internet goes crazy about it again and again.

All a company has to say is resolution doesn't really matter and the internet goes into a panic.

Less pixels means more resources for graphics and performance. Eventually that's a sacrifice developers will make. The Order 1886 is sacrificing part of the screen for improved graphics.

The same as Peter Jackson sacrificed part of the screen to save on film stock? The extra visible geometry mostly cancels out the gains from fewer pixels. Done correctly you render 35% more screen space (slightly zoomed out expanded to the sides) with 74% of the pixels. Unless you're the evil within and don't increase the fov while going widescreen :/
