Man, so much misinformation in this thread, it's not even funny.

I mean, seriously, I get that certain people hate the vita and anything Sony related but how about you do some research before posting something entirely inaccurate? You think only cheap indies sell? Do some research. The games that keep topping the digital sales charts are expensive games like Sword Art Online that costs £35. That's right, full price. It was the same case with Assassin's Creed, COD, Killzone, Football Manager and Uncharted among others. You think the attach ratio is low? Do some research. It's actually high. You think ps+ games count as sales? In what universe that counts as a sale? In one of their presentations they even clarified that they meant games that people paid for. Not free games. So, ok, you didn't watch the Sony presentation where that was mentioned. Why assume/suspsect the worst without any proof? Either do some research or don't post anything at all.

As for ps+ and developers being afraid to release game on it? Completely wrong. Despite the impression that the internet and especially forums give you, the vita owners with ps+ are a minority. The entire ps+ userbase before ps4 was about a million. Even if 50% of them were vita owners, that would still be a small number. You also need to take into account that not everyone who has ps+ has the same mentality ("I'll wait till it hits the ps+"). So it should like a few hundred thousands at most.

The whole 3ds situation. Yes, Ninty saved the 3ds which was struggling after spending tons of money to support it. Sony was in no condition to do the same. Still, despite all of Ninty's efforts the system is massively down in the West. How anyone can deny the impact that mobile phones/tablets had on handhelds is beyond me. Then why is the vita doing worse? Simple. The psp sold well because it was a device that could do things that no other device with mass adoption could. When I bought it, I couldn't watch movies on my phone, I could use it as an emulator (never did, but phones do that now) and it was this cool new product from Sony, a company that had to that point a great success with consoles. Most of vita's cool features can be found in any smartphone.

Thank God for Zackasaurus' posts that somewhat saved this thread.
