Gamerace you know that remote is a mock-up right? It's not real at all. This invalidates points #1 and #3 you made. Also #2 is just blind speculation. As far as your last two points, they're very valid concerns, but if Microsoft has to start I suppose it's not all bad for them to get their feet wet now with motion. I don't expect it to take off, but i'll be happy to have a change of pace with some games. It'll give 360 owners the best of both worlds with certain games. Patches of former games could be made I believe to incorporate the controls. I don't know how effective it would be, but it's something.
This is pretty lengthy for something that's nothing more than a rumor based off a patent. All three companies have plenty of strange patents they never put to use. You don't remember Nintendo's Wii-mote bicycle patent?
