I'm fully aware of what MCC means, but you've missed my meaning. What I was getting at is Microsoft could have done a Halo Universe or Halo Saga Part 1, making a complete Halo Experience as far as the games before Halo 5 goes, there's nothing ignorant about that. It's my opinion that I think it's rushed to not include two games that are a part of the Halo Universe. Also considering this is meant to be a collection and 343 has only fully remastered one game (Halo 2), not giving the same treatment to Halo 1, 3 and 4, yes it's a rushed effort, it's a missed opportunity to not include 2 other important parts of the Halo story. Also it's not greedy to expect 2 games that were on the original XBox and 4 from the 360, when they've already sold several million copies per release. The fact there would be more value there would actually probably make the complete set of games sell even more, which means more money in the hands of the developers or their parent company. This whole thing isn't a complete remake, on par with Halo 5, it's 3 games ported to XB1, upressed to 1080p, a doubling of the frame rate and some other little tweaks here and there, with another one getting some extra attention.
As for the whole additional Halo 5 Beta, so what, it's a Beta, they're going to sell halo 5 next year (assuming it makes it out in time), so it's not like they're not going to make money from that, Halo usually sells like 9-10+ million copies per release, that will be no different IMO. |
343 also remastered Halo 1 already if you didn't know. With 65 GB of content there's nothing rushed about this. Its already the biggest console game ever. Adding 2 more games would do nothing but make installs and a unified interface more difficult. Halo Reach and ODST have nothing to do with what they're trying to do with Halo 5 Guardians. The prolouge is that Locke has to see what Chief and Arbiter have done over the years. Playing as Noble 6 and an ODST would make absolutely no sense at all when they're both side stories. Reach shows how much Bungie was ready to move on from Halo by completely ignoring the Fall of Reach source material and ODST was something most people bought for the Halo 3 multiplayer disc.
If your complaint about the MCC is that there's not enough content, then yes, you're being ignorant.
