Oh awesome thread and a memory lane trip for most of us....here are my favorite games (which I feel were perfect at the time I played them)
- Super Mario 1,3 and 64
- lufia 1 and 2
- Terranigma
- Chrono Trigger
- breath of fire 3
- Goldeneye
- Perfect Dark
- Halo 1,3, reach and 4
- Gears of war 1,2 and 3
- secret of mana 2

Great List!

Have you ever played Breath of Fire, the first? I love it xD

For some bizarre reason I don't recall playing the first!!! May have to check it out though. Remember the third so well though
