I LOVE Demon's Souls, one of my favorite games of all time, but it wasn't quite 10. How the world was structured broke the feel of having an epic and grand adventure. I find the design choice of having one hup that connects many areas to be uninspiring and somewhat lazy, it discourages the player to do exploration around the world and find out more about its lore. The way Dark Souls does it is perfect, having Bonfires around the world while everything is connected really helps to feel how dark and despair the world is. Also, Only one boss in Demon's Souls left an impression (flamelurker) All of the main bosses were total disappointment.

Flamelurker? It was so easy xD
I hoped that we could have a really epic fight with the Dragon god, sadly that didn't happen, but it was AMAZING XD

And I do love the way Nexus connect everyplace, as they are very different locations would be kinda strange to connect them all.
Also, the bonfires was a down IMO, because you knew that if you died in the boss you would need to go back the whole stage to try it again, bonfires kinda spoiled it.

You and I, good sir, can never be friends. You are like my opposite. Let's just hope we don't meet in real life.
